[Ever since his housemates left, Yuan's found his home to become more and more unbearable. He's considered moving into an apartment more than once, but this place holds too many memories for him. He's lived here for almost three years now- in fact, it was Martel who dragged him here from a community building back then. There's just no way he can leave.

So in order to keep himself busy, Yuan's decided to refurbish his house. Or, rather, he's starting with Zoisite's old room for now and see how far he'll get with that. Perhaps he can turn it into a study. Anything that doesn't say "Zoisite's old room".

That's why he can be seen striding through the village, carrying a few paint cans and other such supplies. What paint color, you ask? It's purple. Yuan's taste is... interesting. He's going through extremes to avoid Mithos, but other than that, any resident is free to run into him.]

[He's a little annoyed by the look Ellis is giving him, but he won't comment on it. At least he knows what "vehicles" are.] Do they move across land, or are they capable of flight?

[Nnnh, now he's interested.] How fast can they go, and how many passengers can one of these cars carry?

Passenger cars, generally larger vehicles that can fit 4 to 6 people, have a speedometer that hits 150mph, though few try to go that fast and for good reason; steering can get touchy when at a high speed, which leads to some pretty horrible accidents, not to mention the engine could sputter out on ya. Ain't pretty, seen it happen.

However, there are cars that are built primarily for speed. They're smaller, lower to the ground, can generally only fit two people, and can reach 160mph with few problems in under 13 seconds. [that isn't including all the things one can do to modify the vehicle to give it an extra boost]

[Mph... Miles per hour... If he's understanding correctly and a speed car can travel 160 miles in one hour, that's prety damn fast.] I see. Sounds like something that'd be useful to have in Luceti.

What kind of vehicles were created when your people took to the skies?

Airplanes, a fixed-wing aircraft. [he gives a nod, expression turning thoughtful] We've got about a billion and one different types, from passenger planes to the supersonic jets which are generally used in combat.

We've also got the helicopter, which is capable of things the airplane isn't because of it's hovering capabilities. They're both real damn neat to ride in, I'll tell ya that.

[Supersonic jets? Helicopters? Good lord.] I see... With so much variety, it must be easy for your people to travel.

Used to. [His expression darkens] You ain't gonna find no one drivin' a car, and the planes you see are either bombin' you or crashin'. Zombie 'pocalypse kind of makes all those things useless. [no matter how much he loved being a mechanic]

... Zombie apocalypse? [Did he just hear that correctly? An apocalypse involving... zombies?]

[he reaches up to adjust the hat on his head, giving a curt nod] Y-Yeah. It started out as an illness, then people started dyin', and then the dead started gettin' back up again, except different. I'unno if my world will ever be the same at all.

[he gives a short cough] But, uh, ain't no biggie. It ain't like I got to worry about that here.

[Dead people getting back up again, only different... That sounds horrifying, in Yuan's opinion. There's living dead in his world, but at least those corpses are nobody he knows.]

Enjoying the break while it lasts, hm? If only there weren't other things to worry about here.

[There's a shrug of his shoulders, and he gives a shy-sort of grin] I'unno. Ain't no reason to worry too much here. I mean, I haven't really been here long, but this place is like heaven with a side dish of experiments.
