[In a forest clearing, roughly an hour's walk from the village's edge, one can find Yuan. After a conversation with Guy, he realized he really doesn't know all that much about Luceti's magic, which is why he's started a small experiment; Can Filial magic be combined with magic spells from back home to improve its power? He's hoping that with the aid of the Filial lightning spirit, Tsinku, he can upgrade the potency of his own magic past that fifty percent limit. He's been at it for a while now, with no luck.

People who happen to be passing by or were, in fact, attracted to this sudden spamming of lightning magic will see Yuan twirling his default double-edged saber over his head, surrounded by the purple light of spell casting.]

I call upon thee in the land of the dead to unleash thy fury of thunder! Indignation!

[The crackle of electricity takes up a relatively large amount of space and is soon after followed by a sharp lightning bolt from the sky. Sadly, the effect of the spell is still hovering around half of what it's supposed to be and Yuan's starting to grow pretty damned exhausted.

Yes. I have learned some magic in my world, and a little from the spirits here. But I'm always interested in seeing the magic of those from other worlds, too.

[So what if she knew lightning magic already. This man did it differently, and that was what was so fascinating to her.]

[Well, technically it's even limited to people with elven blood from his world. But that just makes it worse.]

[She shrugs, not bothered by that announcement.]

[She nodded politely, then thought to ask one more thing before being quiet so he could resume his training.]

When you said it was limited to people of your world...do you mean by bloodline or race?

Race. Only those with elven blood can manipulate mana to cast spells.

[Well, there are exceptions... But those are completely unnatural circumstances.]

[She perked up a little at that.]

Ah. I met another who spoke of elven blood, some time ago. You might be from the same world, then. With mine, it's mostly bloodlines, but random talent has been known to happen...very rarely.

[Somehow, the thought of her having spoken to another person from his world isn't surprising. There's a lot of them around Luceti, after all. He gives a curt nod, not quite what to say to that.]

...at least when it comes to Summoning. Other magic is different.

[She smiles, now a bit sheepish.]

I shouldn't keep you from your training. If it's alright, I'll just watch from a safe distance.

[He lifts his weapon again, getting ready to resume training. He'll just be spellcasting like before, trying to strengthen it with Filial magic. A little awkward now that there's someone watching, but he'll manage nonetheless.]
