[In a forest clearing, roughly an hour's walk from the village's edge, one can find Yuan. After a conversation with Guy, he realized he really doesn't know all that much about Luceti's magic, which is why he's started a small experiment; Can Filial magic be combined with magic spells from back home to improve its power? He's hoping that with the aid of the Filial lightning spirit, Tsinku, he can upgrade the potency of his own magic past that fifty percent limit. He's been at it for a while now, with no luck.

People who happen to be passing by or were, in fact, attracted to this sudden spamming of lightning magic will see Yuan twirling his default double-edged saber over his head, surrounded by the purple light of spell casting.]

I call upon thee in the land of the dead to unleash thy fury of thunder! Indignation!

[The crackle of electricity takes up a relatively large amount of space and is soon after followed by a sharp lightning bolt from the sky. Sadly, the effect of the spell is still hovering around half of what it's supposed to be and Yuan's starting to grow pretty damned exhausted.

Anyone want to bother, or ask him about the charred trees and other such foliage in the vicinity?]

It certainly isn't an easy task, however.

Not very long at all. Regardless of the medium, all magicks are used through the same basic principle.

Yes. The only thing that differs is the energy used to fuel the spell. In my world, it is fonons. In yours, it's likely something entirely different.

Yes. Filial magic has its own fuel source that powers it.

The reason such a phenomenon can occur here is because whatever source we normally use for our magic is still accessible. We, in essence, have access to two different magic fuel sources; our native source, and the Filial magic source.

In their natural state, they likely aren't.

It's possible.

In order to use magic, we must take the fuel source and use our bodies to refine it into a more usable form. The same concept, of course, applies to the Filial magic. So the trick is being able to simultaneously take in, refine, and use two separate fuel sources.

Actually fusing two different magic sources could prove catastrophic. It would be more apt to say that you would use the Filial magic as a supplementary source to augment your primary source--your native magic.

If you can manage to find a way to do it without consuming a vast amount of energy, please, do feel free to tell me.

Colonel Jade Curtiss, Third Division of the Malkuth Imperial Forces. [He pushes his glasses up.]

You may call me Jade.

Ahh, well... It is an honor to meet someone of such high standing. [He then gives a fake mocking bow.]

[And thus begins a very strange friendship. Take THAT, Luna.]
