[Yuan had headed to the general item store early in the morning, with the intent to search for new gadgets and appliances. Over the past year, he's taken quite a liking to tinkering with otherworldly technology, especially the electrical kind. He doesn't do anything too grand with it- he just finds it oddly therapeutical to take things apart and then put them back together, drawing blueprints of them as he goes. His trip was rewarded when his eyes fell on this little beauty, complete with batteries and a special adapter that could plug it into electrical outlets. Yuan's not entirely sure why you'd need two different power sources, but that's just another thing to examine when he takes it apart. There's just one problem.

Curiosity got the better of him and he decided to try it out in the store, to see what exactly this thing does. He found a cartridge with the word "Tetris" on it, which fitted perfectly into the slot on the back. One thing led to another, and five minutes later he found himself completely absorbed in the game.

How much time has passed since he started playing? He doesn't even know. He does know he decided to take a seat on the ground at some point, to make himself more comfortable. He also knows he needs to beat this level.]

Left... Left... Now turn! Good, now I just need- No! There is no place for a square! Damn, damn, damn!

[Yes, there is a grown man playing Tetris in a corner of the item store, now completely blind to his surroundings.]

I know that! [But thanks to Raven's tip, he found a nice space to park the thing vertically. Now he just needs to get it over there in time. He's so busy trying to move the block to the side that he forgets to rotate it in time.]

Ooooh, tough break~ Come on, get those fingers movin'! Yer gonna end up with a game over if ya keep this kind of gameplay up.

[Come on, Yuan, shake it off. That one goes on the right, that one in the center... No wait, rotate! Rotate it before- Damn, that's another horizontal line blocked by Yuan's clumsiness.]

Huh, but talkin' is one of the things I do best! And besides, you'd be doin' a hell of a lot worse if I wasn't helping~ See! I'm not helpin' at all right now and look how bad yer doin'!

[kjdfjs son of a-] I am not-

[Oh no, two blocks just stacked up on themselves while Yuan was distracted and now Game Over is coming awfully close. He attempts to move all the new blocks to the sides, but barely has time to get them all rotated in such a way they won't take up unnecessary space. The field is locked up within ten seconds.]

Damn it all!

[He remains quite for a moment to let Yuan grieve for his little tetris blocks.]

Does this mean I can have a go now?

Fine, then. Why don't you show me how it's done? [He is uttering the snippiest tone of voice imaginable as he shoves the Game Boy at Raven. Time to reverse the roles, so Yuan can be the one to provide useless feedback while this guy makes a fool of himself.]

You watch! I'll show ya how it's done!

[He restarts the game from level one, having no trouble slotting the blocks into place and is quite obviously going for multiple lines at once. Z block here, L block there, blocky block square on the right. He's really not that bad at computer games.

At least for now.]

[Yuan will cross his arms over his chest and wait. He fully expects things to get hectic for Raven around level 7, if not sooner.]

[Hey, I'm the only character in the cast with the Hardcore Gamer title. This is way too easy to the point that it's getting kind of boring.]

[Now now, surely Raven will screw up soon. Surely. ... Come on, screw up.]

[He places one of the Z blocks awkwardly and cringes a little, but manages to recover it back in no time at all.

Nope, still easy. The determination in his face says otherwise.]

[... Wow, this man is really getting into the game, now. Is that the kind of face Yuan made while playing? He sure hopes not.]

[It could never last. He looked away from the gameboy and waved it in the air.]

See! This is way too easy! I thought ya had a challenging game but nope, even a little kid could do this!

[Though his bragging means he isn't paying attention to the screen at all. Those blocks are incredibly unforgiving and are piling up quickly.]

[Yuan notices the blocks that are suddenly piling up on each other, but it doesn't matter. Raven's already proven his point; he's better at this game than Yuan is.]

If you don't find it challenging enough, just give it back and go bother someone else!

But yer the first person I've seen playin' it! Until now I didn't even know it existed! [There's the game over sound, not that it bothers him at this point. He finished on level 16.]

[And now this guy is just rubbing in that he's new at Tetris. Great.]

Why does that matter? There's enough other games to occupy yourself with.

Hmm... Ya have a good point. I might just do that! I'm not a fan of puzzely things.

In that case, I bid you a good day. [He is totally holding out his hand to take that Game Boy back, now.]

[He passes the gameboy back. It's not like he needs it and he can find better things to do.]

[Excellent. Yuan will sit right back down in his little corner and attempt to Tetris his way to the level that Raven just got to. This will be an arduous battle.]
