[Martel]
We need to talk.
-----
[Action]
[This afternoon, Yuan can be spotted walking around the village perimeter. To the stores, then the library and finally he'll take a break near the fountain, watching people as they pass by. By then, he's gathered up a bag filled with assorted foods and a few books and he's flipping idly through his journal. It may seem like he doesn't have a particular reason for sitting out there, but that's exactly what he wants people to think.
Once he's sure nobody's around to see him, he'll slip into the tunnels. There's a certain someone down there he needs to check up on.]

[voice]
Although burdened with worry, she was able to notice the mysteriousness of Yuan's message. As a matter of fact, how long has it been since she last heard of him? While he was indeed avoiding her, he at least had the curtsey to check on her once in awhile. ]
Uh . . . I'm really sorry but there's something that really needs my attention.
[ As much as she wanted to talk to Yuan, finding Mithos came first. ]
[voice / Filtered]
It's about Mithos.
[voice / Filtered]
[ If she wasn't speaking to someone at the moment, she would have cried with joy. ]
Where is he?!
[voice / Filtered]
[And then he realizes how this might sound to Martel, so he adds:] Mithos is unhurt, but the situation is a little more complicated than that.
[voice / Filtered]
Alright. Where do you want to meet up?
[voice / Filtered]
[voice / Filtered]
[ Without another word, she looked out the window. She would be happy with Yuan coming to visit her. Would be happy. With Mithos missing nothing in the world could possibly lift her sullen mood. (Besides the miraculous return of her brother.) ]
[Action]
[Action]
Yuan, you're here! Please tell me where's Mithos? Is he alright? I mean you told me he was unharmed, but I just want to make sure!
[Action]
A few weeks ago, Mithos attacked someone again. Without provocation. The Malnosso took him for individual experiments not long after.
[Action]
What? W-where is he now?!
[ She tries to keep herself together, but her voice comes out shaky and her eyes glazes over. Has she failed her little brother a second time? ]
[Action]
Raine, Sheena and I decided that it would be for the best if we imprisoned Mithos for a while. To stop him from harming any more villagers. The three of us set up an ambush for when he was returned by Malnosso and succeeded in capturing him.
[Action]
She looked up at Yuan with tearful eyes. Tears were already starting to roll down her cheek. He still wasn't looking at her. ]
Yuan . . . Why? Is that really necessary? Please I'm begging you! Just release him!
[Action]
We will release him once he's no longer a danger to others. [Yuan's convinced this will never happen, though.]
[Action]
Y-Yuan! Please d-don't do this!
[ Without thinking, she pulls him into a tight embrace and sobs muffled cries into his shoulder. ]
[Action]
Meanwhile, another part of him wants to return the embrace and comfort her, because he just feels so incredibly guilty for putting her through this. Unable to decide which course of action is better, he just stands there, eyes firmly shut.
It's all very conflicting and confusing, but through the jumbled mess one thing remains clear: He can't agree to release Mithos. It was a unanimous decision he made with Raine and Sheena, the latter of which was attacked by Mithos. It's just not safe. Martel can believe what she wants, but she just can't stop her brother from hurting people.]
... I have to. It's the only way.
[Action] This thread makes me so blushy~ ♥
She knows why he's doing this. She knows that this is probably the only option left. Even she didn't know what to do with Mithos, but damn, she really didn't want to have her only brother imprisoned for who knows how long.
But what else was there to do? Talking to him wasn't an option. Even the mere mention of how he was wrong brought him to the edge.
Why couldn't life have just left her dead? It seems as though fate just really loved to fool around with her. ]
Yuan please!
[Action] Hee~
[Because letting Mithos out or even making things remotely easier for him down there ensures he won't learn his lesson. He's down there to be punished, not to suffer a minor inconvenience. He can make it easier for Martel, though.]
... You can go see him, if you like. Just as long as you don't release him.
[Action]
She can see that he wasn't intending to be cruel to either her or Mithos. If he was, why was he giving her the chance to see him? Wiping off the remaining tears, she numbly nods her head and says in a oddly quiet voice. ]
Alright . . . Please take me to my brother.
[Action]
All right.
[Action]
She's at first perplexed by the certain route Yuan takes but eventually realizes that they're probably moving away from the traps. Leave it to Yuan to take precautions. Especially when it involves her brother. Whether this was a good or bad sign she did not know. ]
[Action]
It isn't too much of a walk. A few minutes, at the most.]
[Action]
Is this the place?
[Action]
Then he hears his sister's voice. A sense of relief bursts in him for a clipped moment, before it drowns under a strong current of dread.] Martel...?
[She shouldn't be down here. What is she doing here? She isn't yet in his field of vision, so he rushes to the row of metal bars that compose the front of the cell to try to locate her.] Martel!
[Action]
He stops walking, gesturing in the direction of Mithos' cell with a quick jerk of his head. It should be fine for Martel to keep going from here on out. He'll wait in case there's a problem.]
