[After the appearance of one of his 'old friends', Yuan has become extra cautious. He knows he can't avoid Mithos forever, but he sure as hell can try. At least until he's had a chance to discuss the matter with Kratos. That's why, as he makes his way through the village early in the morning, he may seem even more on edge than usual. Eyes shifting around suspiciously, occasionally throwing a glance over his shoulder, you know the drill.

Feel free to stop him anyway! He's headed for Kratos' house, but he'll stop by Raine's place while he's at it. This is partly to get her opinion on the situation and partly to see how she's doing.]

[That sounds pretty severe. No wonder Raine hadn't tried to brush it off as nothing.]

No... not at all. Not being able to manage it like I normally would ... [She shakes her head. She's going too far with her complaining as it is. In her mind anyway] There's nothing else to really do but wait.

I'm... aware of that. But thank you. [She shakes her head a little.] Have you been all right?

[Yuan leans back against the wall, crossing his arms. He doesn't know if Raine's been keeping up with the journals during all this. Best to just cut right to the chase.]

Mithos has returned.

... so it is true. [Not that she didn't listen to the entry, but confirmation from a saner source is appreciated.] The only way he will find prejudice here is if he invites it in himself.

It isn't about prejudice anymore. Mithos doesn't trust anything or anyone but himself. He'll take any excuse to be hostile.

He'll have to learn with experience, then. I don't know what else can be done.

Old dogs can't be taught new tricks. Mithos needs to be kept out of trouble until he's returned to where he belongs.

That attitude won't solve anything either. [She sighs a little.]

I doubt this is something that can be resolved. Even so, we need to make sure he doesn't cause any damage here.

No. Not until I know just what we're dealing with. He may try to seclude himself on his own.

... Whatever happens, we'll just have to find an appropriate way to handle it. [It's been notably getting harder for her to speak. She has to concentrate hard for the words.]

[Just like Raine's current condition, this is a 'wait and see' situation. Yuan's just going to keep on fretting about this until the time comes to make a reasonable decision. Still, it's good to discuss it with someone. It relieves some of the tension.]

[He watches Raine for a moment, before pushing away from the wall.] Do you need anything? A glass of water, perhaps?

[Is it time for more medication? She's not sure. Maybe it's just the stress of knowing that Mithos is really there and all of those unresolved issues.]

I - ... y-yes, I suppose that would be fine. If it's not any trouble.

It's no trouble at all.

[He'll just let himself into the kitchen. Before long, he returns to the room with a glass of water in one hand.]

[She hasn't moved very much, sitting up and looking at her hands as she waits.]

[He doesn't know if Raine's in any state to hold a glass, but there's only one way to find out. He'll hold it out to her and see if she takes it.]

[She takes the glass slowly, with a wince. Her hands are mostly wrapped again, and she has to use both hands to keep the glass steady enough for her to sip]

[He's not backing away just yet. Should the glass slip from Raine's grasp, he'll be ready to try and catch it.]

[She luckily manages not to drop it, but after a second sip looks back toward him.] ... Take it. Please.

[Hm. Either Raine's not thirsty, or she's in more pain than she's letting on. Yuan takes the glass again, placing it on the nearby table instead.] You don't need anything else?
