[This morning, Yuan awoke to find that the body swap with Mithos had been undone. In fact, the body swap with Mithos is the last thing he remembers of Luceti before over two years' worth of memories from home follow it up. It seems like he must've been home, even if this recent experiment is to blame. Similarly to when he was an old man, he's been aged up slightly and now knows all about what happens to Sylvarant and Tethe'alla shortly after the unification of the worlds. While he was there, he had no idea he was ever in Luceti, but now that he's 'back'...

A quick check of the calendar and flipping through recent journal entries verifies just how much he missed. It wasn't much at all. Time really does have no meaning in this wretched place.]

November in the fourth cycle year... Figures. He must still be here also. I should seek out Kratos soon.

[Rustling of pages. A short silence, then a sigh.]

And I see the journals are still as eager as ever to broadcast personal thoughts.

Yes, I'm fine. I was simply... lost in thought for a moment. Is there still an experiment affecting the village?

"Experiments", unfortunately. Plural.

[Why, Yuan has a hidden talent for processing a lot of information into a few sentences. Didn't you know?

In a way, talking to Kratos through this book isn't too different from the communication line they had set up back home. Still, he'd much rather speak to the man in person.]

... Yes. Are you home?

Hm... I see. How are you faring?

[It must be very well hidden, then. There's a few seconds of hesitation before he answers.]

Yes, I am. [Kratos has been largely unaffected, but Presea's still in her adult body... And he's not sure how she'd feel about Yuan suddenly coming in and seeing her.]

[Oh honestly, Kratos. Yuan's the most trustworthy person you'll ever meet. ... Uhm. Well, he's trustworthier than before, anyway, and he never did have anything against Presea.]

The experiments tend to take a toll on anyone, regardless of how minor their effects are.

Yuan arrives at the house not long after. He would've been there sooner, but he made a quick stop by the pen to visit Noishe, giving the Arshis a few pets on the head before continuing on his way. Knock knock. Feel free to notice Yuan's peculiar outfit.]

It's good to hear that you're yourself again... although it sounds like you've been affected in another way.

And indeed, once Kratos opens the door, he glances at the outfit, and... words appear above his head.]

[Yuan's gaze strays upwards to read those words. Well, excuse him, Mr. Abunce Of Belts.]

Kratos. It's good to see you. ... Can I come in?

I'm not certain if it's the experiment or not.

[He's also not certain which he would prefer. Being trapped in Luceti again, after he was home for just two years, or having time turned backwards so to speak, with the risk of losing the memories he has now.]

[Kratos gives the smallest of winces when Yuan reads those words - he's been having a problem with his thoughts projecting themselves for a few days now, which is near devastating for a private man like him.

He nods and steps aside, allowing Yuan to enter the house.]

How long has time passed in our world? [It's pretty obvious to him, at least, that Yuan returned. Or that he believes he returned. With these experiments going on, it's pretty up in the air.]

You wouldn't be the first person I've talked to that said they had 'left' for a few years.

[It could be worse, Kratos. You could be singing your personal thoughts. Then again, with irregular experiments like this, it could still happen.

He steps into the hallway, waiting for Kratos to close the door and lead him to whichever room they're going to have their conversation in. It's a good thing Kratos already came to a conclusion on his own, that saves Yuan some time to expain.]

It's been two years, in my case.

It's...taken a toll, yes. But I can manage.

[Then to the kitchen they go, where Kratos gestures to the table before he himself goes to pour the coffee into two cups.]

Two years... hm. [That doesn't seem like a lot of time at all to the two of them, but Lloyd...]

[He takes a seat, watching Kratos busy himself with the coffee. Only two years, and yet...]

It's... astounding how much could change in so little time. Or perhaps that's because we've grown accustomed to the stagnant world Mithos had created.

... I suppose so. Though I suddenly find myself with two more years' worth of memories from home. It's as if I was actually there, even though no time has passed here.

You're...not the only one I've spoken with to experience such a feeling. Although, in Xion's case, she had actually been here for the intervening ten years.
