[Attentive villagers may have seen bright beams of light originating from the far reaches of the forest, where the mountain range starts. Those beams were a result of this battle, and directly after it's taken place, Yuan has a message to broadcast to the entire village. His voice sounds hoarse and he seems to be out of breath.]

The threat known as Aku... has been defeated. For now... at least. [He stops to cough for a moment.] Once the Malnosso bring him back, there'll be... hell to pay.

[The public message ends with some fumbling sounds.]

I need you to get over here... Immediately. It's an emergency.

[...Did... did he hear that right? There's excitement in this one's voice. Almost too good to be true.]

What?! ...You managed to kill him?! Seriously?

[He sounds a little impatient.]

[...That tone is not a good one. So Adell seriouses right up.]

...Are you injured? Do you need any help or anything? Fighting Aku is brutal. [He sounds like he's got experience in that field.] I can be out there with some help in no time if you need it.

I've already... [He stops to cough before trying again.] Already asked someone.

[Being acquainted with one of the fastest and strongest residents in the village has some definitive perks.]

Alright. ...But hey. Congratulations on finally bringing that bastard down. Even if it's only temporary, I'm sure the rest of the village will thank you when they hear the news.

[And then he pauses for a moment. ...He realizes he has to say something else too.]

[The following reply comes at least ten minutes later, because he'd given up on keeping track of his journal until he'd gotten both Kratos and himself to safety.]

The Blue Rogues, huh? That's right... Vyse was sent home.

[Adell doesn't mind the wait. He figures Yuan's been busy dealing with the aftermath of the Aku fight, so he'll pick it right back up as though the delay didn't happen.]

Yeah, he was. I'm Adell, the acting captain of the Blue Rogues.

Acting Captain... I see. I trust you'll be up for the job?

Yeah. I'll be doing my best.

Good.

[He's seen the Blue Rogues in action plenty of times over the past two years. Don't fail him, Adell.]

Whenever Aku shows back up, if you want help dealing with him again, we'll help however we can. Aku is not the kind of guy who takes defeat lightly.

I didn't think so.
